Planning approval has been given for developers to transform The Boars Head on Roker Lane in Pudsey into five flats.

New windows and doors will be implemented in the design - which is subject to a string of measures including the use of natural stone and new window designs being approved.

A planning officer’s report approving the development said: "The proposal will regenerate a long-standing derelict nuisance property, with a quality refurbishment scheme.

"The proposal will also deliver new housing in a sustainable location, which will have a positive impact on the character of the locality.”

Planning permission was previously sought in late 2019 to demolish the pub and replace it with a pair of semi-detached properties.
