The Gin Journey is an award-winning tour experience which takes guests on a luxurious chauffeured ride around select locations, sampling an array of sumptuous cocktails and craft gins along the way.

Already an established event run in London, Manchester, Liverpool and Newcastle, Leeds is the next city to welcome the exciting bar-hopping booze tour.

Arriving in Leeds on Saturday 3 March, with events running up until June, guests will be treated to five gins, five gin cocktails and a visit to five of the city's best gin bars, including The Alchemist, Pintura and The Domino Club.

Guests will be whisked around the various stops in the chauffeur driven Gini-bus (a fancy Mercedes mini bus), complete with a 'Gin Guardian' on board to play host throughout the journey and regale interesting stories about the tumultuous history of gin and its recent renaissance.

Launched in 2013 by Leon Dalloway, also known as The Gin Boss, the idea was to offer a fun, unique and interactive tasting tour which would enable guests to enjoy gin in a new and exciting way.

Since its beginnings in London, the tour has branched out to a number of locations around the UK and hosts pop-up events in cities whenever possible.

Now with an enthusiastic team of gin aficionados in tow, Dalloway is bringing the journey to Leeds and will be incorporating a dash of local knowledge into the tour to give it that Yorkshire feel, with local gins being included as part of the experience.

With an array of superb local distilleries, including Masons Yorkshire Gin and Leeds Gin, and being the birthplace of the famous chemist, Joseph Priestly, who helped save the drinking world with his invention of carbonation, Yorkshire is a fitting home for the next run of the Gin Journey.
