It’s Bold, it’s bright and it’s here. Look out for the new Models Own store opening at Trinity Leeds next Tuesday, February 28.
It comes hot on the heels of the cult beauty brand’s first stand-alone flagship store, which opened in London at the end of last year. The new Trinity Leeds Models Own store is the latest development in the company’s global roll-out and twill be the company’s biggest ever retail operation. Models Own chose Leeds as the perfect destination as they were looking for a fast, fun, vibrant, on-trend, creative city.
The 850 sq ft ‘beauty playground’ will include Models Own full makeup and accessories range of more than 650 new products including their best-selling eyeshadow palettes, vibrant lip gunks and lush rose gold brushes. Also featured will be the brand’s latest collection, ‘Holochrome’, with iridescent holographic finishes for lips, nails and eyes.
Models Own make-up gurus will be on hand offering beauty tips and tricks. Touch screen tablets can be browsed for advice, inspiration and online tutorials.
Dan Wharton, Marketing Manager at Trinity Leeds, said: “To be chosen as the first stand-alone store outside London is a real coup for the city.
“Models Own is a fantastic destination brand for those looking for cosmetics and we’re delighted we’ll be adding a huge splash of colour to our retail line-up when it opens later this month.”
THE HOLLYWOOD COLOUR BLEND
Topping up your hair colour and covering those roots is a costly and time-consuming business.
But now there is a new technique offering a subtle and enduring way to highlight hair. The Hollywood Colour Blend was created by celebrity hairdresser Catherine Boden. The technique uses up to 15 toners and shades and can last for up to six months.
However, there is a catch. Treatments take up to six hours, with prices from £250 upwards. House of Creation in Ripponden, near Halifax, is the first salon in Yorkshire to offer the new technique. Salon owner, Hayley Jennings, part of the Racoon International Artistic Team lead by Andrew Barton, said, “The Hollywood Colour Blend is a unique colouring technique designed to produce naturally blended hair colour with multiple tones, depth and highlights The process has several stages to strategically place highlights and lowlights, blended colours, toners and glosses. Because it is closer to the natural colour with blended highlights, maintenance is low and colouring (top-ups) only needs to be done twice a year.
Hayley’s tips for keeping colour fresh include not over-washing hair. “This may not seem possible after a workout but a water-only rinse will remove salt and sweat without stripping away the oils. A good shampoo will also allow less frequent washes.”
For those wishing to try the Hollywood Colour Blend, House of Creation Ripponden is offering a 25 per cent discount for readers who take in proof of the offer in the form of a copy of this feature, or who call on the number below quoting “Yorkshire Post”.
Bookings must be made in advance, subject to availability. The offer must be redeemed by July 31, 2017. The result of the Hollywood Colour Blend depends on your own hair type and colouring and cannot necessarily be matched to an ideal image.
