7. Bruno
Bruno is a really fun lad once he knows you. He loves playing with toys and enjoys learning new things. He loves his food and he also walks really lovely on his lead. Bruno can be a bit of a shy boy around unfamiliar people so he is looking for a quiet home with minimal visitors and with understanding owners who will help him build his confidence. He will be happy to live with children 14 years old and over and he could also possibly live with another dog but he can be a little enthusiastic sometimes when he plays with other dogs.
8. Edie
Edie is such a sweet girl who is great once she has a relationship with you, however she is very worried by unfamiliar people and takes time to build trust. She is more comfortable with females rather than males. Once there is a bond she is very interactive and affectionate. Unfortunately, she does not like being around other dogs so cannot share her home with any pets and must be walked in quiet areas where she won't have any dogs coming up to her. She loves to play with toys and is ace with her training. In the home, she is very clean, calm, and actually rather lazy!
9. Henry
Henry is such a handsome dude who with a little time and patience will make a fabulous pet. He has a few skills to learn first though and his new owners will need to work with us to set Henry on the right track. Henry is friendly with everyone he meets and actively seeks out people to say 'Hi' to. He loves dogs too but needs to refine his approach as he can be very impolite.
10. Cheka
Cheka is a proper pint sized staffy who's heart was broken after losing her owner and her home. She took a while to settle into life at Dogs Trust but has truly turned a corner lately and is ready for the next chapter in her life. Cheka is around 8 but still has bags of energy so a large secure garden is a must for her to burn off some extra calories. Experience of staffies or other bull breeds is not essential but would help as she does need a little additional training around the harness and lead. Cheka is currently on medication for her skin which may be ongoing. Our vet will happily talk through the costs involved with this.
11. Beau
If you're looking for a fun and energetic dog and have a real passion for training, then let us introduce you to Beau. He's a 1-year-old Lurcher who is bursting with potential. A very unsettled start to his life has left him with some anxieties that his new family will need to understand and help him work on. He's a very friendly lad and likes plenty of fuss and attention but can get overly giddy. Being rather strong, this does mean that being around young children wouldn't be suitable. Over 16's will be fine however. He can be worried by unfamiliar people entering his home, so a family with few visitors will be best. He can also be worried by other dogs, however we are working on this with him. He's super smart and loves doing training tasks. If you keep his brain exercised, then you'll have one very happy boy!
12. Bertie
One look at Bertie's squishy face and you'll be smitten! He's 2 years old and full of character. Sadly, he led a very sheltered life due to the pandemic lockdown and when he arrived with us, he was already worried by unfamiliar people and places. He needs to expand his world very slowly and with a lot of care and patience. Other dogs are another worry for him and so he must be walked in quieter areas. If you take the time to slowly get to know him you will soon see that underneath he is wonderful boy who will always make you smile. He loves to play with his toys and is very affectionate with his friends. Smart? Oh yes! He loves to learn new things and is very motivated to show off if there are some treats coming his way. So if you are a true Bully lover, quirks and all, you will see that all the time and effort to get into Bertie's gang will be well worth it.
