Steak and seafood will be the dish of the day for a Leeds restaurant that is re-launching - so much so that there is literally a ‘Book of Beef’.

Blackhouse on East Parade, better known as the Grill on the Square, re-opens tomorrow after a two week refurbishment but City Buzz is giving you a flavour of what’s to come.

The menu goes back to the staple key dishes it started with and features an in-house guide on everything you need to know about cuts of beef and new seafood twists complement classic lobster, with a cocktail menu to wash it down.

The restaurant sits somewhere within the Greek Street revolution and the reason behind the change of direction is to re-establish venue as “an old favourite”.

Scott Grimbleby, MD, said: “We are really excited about the refresh and new menu. It is the biggest change we have seen for a number of years in Blackhouse and part of a bigger plan to refresh the brand and return it to its position as the ‘old favourite’ somewhere our guests can hunker down, chat freely, feel comfortable and really enjoy the great food, drink and atmosphere that we are so well known for.”

The interior has also been revamped and the conservatory allows for more diners.
