Opening date revealed for new Leon store in Leeds Station.

The new store, located in between KFC and Subway, will be opening on Tuesday, December 3.

It will offer two dishes exclusive to Leeds - a new bacon and egg avocado pot and a big box lentil masala.

The menu also includes a range of option for vegans and those with dietary requirements - including gluten-free chicken nuggets, vegan LoVe burger and vegan Jack wings.

The store, which takes the place of the old WHSmith site on the concourse, will feature copper lighting, wooden-clad walls and wall murals.

There will be indoor and outdoor seating.

Guests will order all menu items through digital ordering screens and then collect them at the counter.

Adam Blaker LEON’s Property Director said: “Our first Leeds opening lands in December, joining an already vibrant food scene in the city.

"Fans have been requesting a LEON in Leeds through our social media for such a long time and we’re glad we can finally fulfil this: with not just any LEON but the first-ever digital LEON.

"The train station is very busy and this digital ordering system will make it easier for everyone to get their favourites as quickly as possible, without missing a train!”

The new opening will bring Leon’s restaurant total to 74 across the UK, US and Europe.

It is the only Leon restaurant in Yorkshire, with the only other northern stores being in Manchester and Cheshire Oaks, near Liverpool.
