Dashing through the snow*, on a fast steam railway… this is your chance to take a magical ride with Santa and what could be more Christmassy?
The Santa Express on the North York Moors Railway is the closest you’ll come to riding a sleigh with Father Christmas, and it’s a perfect way to take in the beautiful moors at this magical time of year.
On board, little ones will have the chance to meet the man himself in his grotto, tell him why they’ve been naughty or nice this year, and receive with a Christmas present.
Meanwhile, adults can enjoy a mince pie, hot drink and even an alcoholic tipple as the train chugs through the picturesque moors on the 75-minute journey.
You can climb on board from Pickering Station or Grosmont Station on weekends throughout December. If you join at Pickering you’ll even have the chance to take selfies with Santa’s reindeers and the best #reindeerselfie will win a family ticket for the 2018 season and a goody bag with Thomas the Tank Engine goodies worth £100.
Remember to pre-book your tickets as this is sure to be a popular family festive event.
