Get your skates on!
As Wiggo fever grips the nation, more and more people are dusting off their old set of wheels and taking them for a cheeky spin.
But forget road bikes, why not head for some hardcore adrenalin-fuelled fun at the Works Skatepark in Leeds where the kids are going roller crazy.
Either hire or bring along a BMX, rollerblades, scooters or skateboards and try out the myriad of slopes and tracks.
The Works’ incredible skating facilities cater for all ages – dads why not show the kids how it’s done?
Friendly staff can help ease even the first timers onto the ramps which are used by anyone from amateurs to adrenalin-fuelled pros.
Beginners are welcomed with open arms and private lessons can be booked with staff for those who want to up their game.
Equipment is on offer for hire but many take their own wheels to polish their skills on the slopes and tracks.
This indoor adult-sized playground boasts ramps and slopes of all sizes and annual membership has just been slashed from £35 to £15 to keep it massively affordable during tough times.
Last year, the Skatepark welcomed 42,000 visitors – and 9,000 of these came in the six week summer scheme alone.
And as a charity, all profits get pumped back into the facility which is all under cover making it the perfect destination come rain or shine.
Finish off a few hours hammering those slopes, with a hot dog, cake and cuppa at the well-stocked cafe upstairs.
All in all a fun packed, adrenalin-fuelled day out and one that could be good fun for the family as well as being a brilliant way to keep fit and healthy.
