FOR ice cream lovers, it doesn’t get much better than Brymor.

Nestled in the heart of the picturesque Yorkshire Dales, the award-winning ice cream parlour is legendary among the locals and has become etched into countless childhood memories.

And with more than 35 mouth-watering flavours to choose from, it is easy to see why.

With everything from Riggwelter Ale flavour and mint chocolate chip, to fudge brownie and wild cherry, Brymor has something to tantalise the taste buds of even the fussiest eaters.

The parlour at High Jervaulx is perfectly placed for day-trippers on their way to nearby destinations like Leyburn, Middleham, Masham, Bedale, and Jervaulx Abbey, and is often bustling with coach trips and visitors from around the world.

For more than 30 years, the team at Brymor have been perfecting their deliciously thick, real dairy ice cream using milk from their herd of friendly pedigree Guernsey cows, who graze on the lush Yorkshire grass just a few miles away.

After settling on a flavour – which can take a while – parents can sit back, ice cream in hand, and relax in the Yorkshire Dales countryside while their little ones explore the outdoor play area and miniature John Deere tractors.

For those feeling a little more peckish, there is also a light grazing menu featuring locally-sourced ingredients, including Wensleydale Cheese from Hawes and preserves from the award-winning Rosebud Preserves of Masham.

But if after all that you’re still not full, there are some monstrous sundaes to tackle, from Knickerbocker glories to honeycomb crunches. Or, if you’re feeling really adventurous, you can go crazy and create your own concoction.
