THE North’s biggest family festival is coming to Yorkshire next weekend.
Geronimo, a two-day spectacular, will fill the grounds of Harewood House, near Leeds, with some of the biggest names in children’s entertainment, live music and award-winning productions.
Taking place on May 1 and 2, festival goers will get the chance to meet Alex Winters, from CBeebies, who will be hosting the main stage, and Mr Bloom, who will be entertaining budding gardeners with tales of vegetables, gardening games and nursery songs.
Adrenaline junkies can try their hand at tree climbing and den making in the woods, or test their mettle on a thrilling zip line which can reach speeds of up to 60km per hour.
For those who like things a little calmer there are fencing, archery and Parkour taster sessions, and even baby ballet and baby yoga for the little ones.
Gasp in awe at the breath-taking aerial trapeze show in the Circus Zone, or try your hand at plate spinning and stilt walking. For some inspiration, watch Circus Fudge who will be performing his show from Glastonbury, or the White Helmets – the UK’s top military motorcycle display team, who will able be bringing their spectacular track riding show to the festival.
There’s even an old fashioned helter skelter, traditional carousel and steam powered swing chairs for kids and adults who are still kids at heart, as well as donkey rides, reptile show and a huge collection of giant tortoises.
Prices: One day tickets from £25 to £30. Two day tickets £40.
