This year has been like no other.

Yet Christmas wouldn’t be complete without a visit from Santa Claus.

The big man in red is set to stop off at various attractions around Leeds on his world tour to raise festive spirits and maybe pose for a photo with kids dreaming of Christmas Day.

Youngsters will be able to meet jolly old St Nick, tell him what they would like for Christmas this year and in return they may even get a special gift to take home and place under the tree.

All while adhering to the government’s guidelines around social distancing, hand washing and face covering due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Christmas Experience at Lotherton Hall

Santa and his elves are ready to welcome guests to their new surroundings this year in Lotherton’s Elf Village to allow for plenty of room for visitors of all ages.

Interact with the elves and get a personal Santa visit if you opt for the 40-minute ‘Under the Wishing Tree’ experience, or pre-schoolers can pop in on a weekday lunch time.

Enjoy a stroll through Christmas woodland walk and sing along to all the festive classics with a hot beverage in hand, all while maintaining social distancing.

Christmas at Stockeld Park

Visitors to Stockeld Park will have the chance to see the winter illuminations displayed through the Enchanted Forest and Maze, pick out a Christmas tree to take home and make a stop off to visit Santa in his grotto. Availability is limited so pre-booking online is essential.

Tickets for the illuminations and to visit Santa’s grotto are sold separately.

FaceTime with Santa

Skip the rush to see Santa by inviting him into your own home - via FaceTime.

Streaming live from the North Pole, Santa will speak to youngsters from his front room directly into your home through either FaceTime or WhatsApp.

The call will last for around five minutes and can be followed up with a letter from Santa or gift from the grotto as an additional surprise for your child.

Despite his busy schedule, Santa is making an extra effort to make sure there is plenty of Christmas joy by visiting you outside your own home.

Storytime with Santa at Tong Garden Centre

Tong Lane, Bradford BD4 0RY

The team from Tong Garden Centre has come up with a new way for kids to meet Santa this year on top of their grotto experience, which sold out quickly.

Tong is also offering Storytime with Santa for everyone who wasn’t able to see Santa due to Covid restrictions. Children and accompanying adults will be invited to settle down for storytime as Santa reads one of his favourite tales. Picture and toy included.
