If you’re keen to blow off the cobwebs and soak up some scenery this Christmas, Leeds has plenty of beautiful spots to enjoy a leisurely stroll. From historic estates, to enchanting woodland, here are 11 walking trails to take a wander down this festive season.
5. Roundhay Park
Covering 700 acres of parkland, lakes and woodland, walkers have plenty of scenic spots to wander around at this popular outdoor spot, incorporating both tarmac paths and woodland routes.

6. Temple Newsam
Boasting 1,500 acres of land to explore - compiled of open grassland, woodlands, a walled garden and lakeside paths - Temple Newsam provides an idyllic spot for a leisurely stroll.

7. Meanwood Valley Trail
A seven=mile walk from the heart of Leeds to Golden Acre park on the northern fringes. Itâ€™s probably one of the top five urban was in Britain, and most of the time itâ€™s hard to believe you are in an urban area. These woods are beyond Meanwood Park.

8. Yeadon Tarn
Stretching across 17 hectares this park is a great location for a lazy stroll, as well as for more adventurous outdoor pursuits, with a playground, BMX track, bowls and water sport activities on offer.
