Officers from West Yorkshire Police say they have received multiple reports and letters from the public complaining about speeding cars on Crossgates Road and Crossgates Lane.

Crossgates Road is a 40mph zone and Crossgates Lane is 20mph.

A spokesman for the force said: "Following numerous reports and letters from members of the Public highlighting concerns in relation to speeding on Crossgates Road which is a 40 mph zone and Crossgates Lane which is a 20 mph zone.....

"PC MILBURN and PC PEARSON attended the locality with the mobile speed gun to identify drivers speeding.

"A number of vehicles were stopped and drivers spoken to accordingly and verbally warned. One driver received a formal written warning.

"Please take heed and please don't speed."
