Harehills in the 1930s: Clock Cinema and Fforde Grene in focus

It was the decade two much loved Harehills landmarks familiar to generations of residents opened for the first time.

The 1930s saw the curtain raised on the Clock Cinema while the community raised a glass for the first time at the Fforde Grene pub. It proved to be a decade of progress and change which are reflected in this charming photos around LS8.
