1974 was a year that Leeds becomes a metropolitan borough and work continued on the city’s Inner Ring Road. It was also a 12 months that residents voted in not one, but two, General Elections. These wonderful photos, a mix from the YEP archive and others published courtesy of photographic archive Leodis, which is run by Leeds Library & Information Service, chart a year in the life of your city.
