Leader of Leeds City Council, Councillor Judith Blake said: “I’m delighted that the new gym has now officially opened at Middleton Leisure Centre.

"During what continue to be testing times, the opening of this top class facility which boasts a range of state-of-the-art equipment, demonstrates our commitment to helping the people of Leeds live healthy lives.

“Since lockdown we have seen a real focus on physical activity from people of all ages and good health can play an important part in helping the body fight the effects of the virus.
