Leeds coronavirus cases rise to 15 as new figures released

The amount of cases of coronavirus in Leeds has risen to 15, new figures revealed.

The total has increased from 12 cases reported yesterday in the city.

A total of 3,269 people have tested positive for coronavirus in the UK, as of 9am today (Thursday).

It is a rise of 643 confirmed cases from the same time on Wednesday, the Department of Health said.

As of 1pm, 144 patients in the UK who tested positive for COVID-19 have died, with 29 new deaths in England reported today.

Meanwhile, the death toll in Italy rose to 3,405, overtaking the total number of deaths so far registered in China.
