Yorkshire records lowest daily coronavirus death toll increase for almost two weeks

Yorkshire has recorded the lowest daily coronavirus death toll increase for almost two weeks, new figures revealed.

There were a total of 36 new deaths recorded in hospitals in the county according to figures released on April 27.

This is the lowest daily increase since April 15.

Both Sheffield and Leeds had eight new deaths recorded according to the statistics.

A total of 185 people have now died in Leeds.

Nationally, NHS England says the total number of reported covid-19 deaths in hospitals in England has risen by 329 to 18,749.

Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust - 1

Rotherham, Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust - 0
