West Yorkshire man found 'photographing the stars' in Bolton Abbey despite lockdown

A man from West Yorkshire was found "photographing the stars" in Bolton Abbey despite UK lockdown measures.

North Yorkshire Police found the man at 10.30pm on Saturday, April in Bolton Abbey, near Skipton.

He told police he had travelled so that he could take pictures of the stars.

The man was gave a fixed penalty notice.

Officers said that they also encountered a lot of people travelling to the Malham area from West Yorkshire.

Two people were also fined for travelling from West Yorkshire to Helmsley to have a barbecue and go camping.
