Deaths were recorded where a patient either tested positive for Covid-19 or where no positive test result was received for Covid-19, but Covid-19 was mentioned on their death certificate.

Across Yorkshire, a further 16 deaths were recorded in the daily update on December 21.

The death toll in Yorkshire now stands at 5,609.

A total of 654 people have now died from the virus in Leeds hospitals.

Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust: 2

Doncaster and Bassetlaw Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust: 4

Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust: 2

Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust: 3

Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust: 1

The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust: 1

Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust: 2
