The video, which has been produced, written and voiced by Rhinos legend Jamie Jones-Buchanan, turns the spotlight onto people across the city putting themselves in harms way.

As the film begins, Jones-Buchanan can be heard saying, "In this city it doesn't feel right being stood still and on our own. This city, strives together, makes memories together and it Marches On Together."

Aerial shots of the city have been used while action on the pitch and in the ring has been shared to draw parallels between the hard work and grind of sport and the togetherness the city has shown in lockdown battling the unforgiving virus.

Commenting on the film, Jones-Buchanan, who is assistant coach at the Rhinos now, commented, “As a proud Loiner, it has been humbling to see the incredible work that our key workers have done for our city and residents over the last few months.

"They are our friends, our relatives and our neighbours and they are heroes. I know the clap for carers has now finished but we wanted to come together to show our support for their sacrifices.

"I have been fortunate to have been part of some incredible occasions throughout my life at Emerald Headingley and Elland Road and I know how much the unparalleled support of the people of Leeds means, so it is great that we can repay that support in some small way with this film and let them know that we are still thinking of them.”

Both clubs are also part of the Big Thank You scheme, which has been co-ordinated by Leeds City Council, which has been set up to provide thousands of free tickets, discounts and special events for NHS and frontline workers across the city as a special thanks for their enormous efforts during the COVID-19 pandemic.
