A Leeds mum who is self-isolating with her disabled children has said she is "blown away" by offers of support after asking for help.

Laura posted on Facebook page Coronavirus Help and Support West Yorkshire: "We aren’t able to get out anywhere. If we need anything just asking really if there’s anyone local for when we do need things like milk bread etc - can’t get online delivery in these next 3 months if anyone is able to help please?

"I will need to ask though to drop at the door as cannot give contact with anyone other than my husband and five children (all kids are out of school) including one who has autism and sitting her GCSE’s

"I’ve also had to lay off a private care package due to carers unable to come in for our son who’s severely disabled in a wheelchair with us being isolated for 12 weeks."

Mum of five Laura explained that she could pay people by bank transfer if they were able to help.

"If I can return the favour in any way somehow I will once all this horrible circulating virus has finished," she added.

Laura was deluged with offers of support.

She posted later: "Absolutely blown away by all your responses from this beautiful page is amazing wasn’t quite expecting that.

"I’m very overwhelmed restored my faith in humanity and our beautiful West Yorkshire community."
