The Leeds NHS CCG says it has been “overwhelmed” with interest to work in the centre with various different people offering their help from students to nurses as well as volunteers.

It is currently recruiting for band 5 healthcare practitioners and band 6 clinical supervisors for a range of roles on a full time, part time or more temporary basis.

The roles range from paying £25,000 to £38,000 per year depending on the role.

To be eligible to apply, you need to be a qualified nurse, pharmacist, allied health professional or registered NHS worker or within an independent sector.

A spokesperson for the NHS said: "The NHS in Leeds is recruiting band 5 healthcare practitioners (£25-30k) and band 6 clinical supervisors (£31-38k) to work at our massive new vaccination hub at Elland Road, the home of Leeds United Football Club. To be eligible you could be a qualified nurse, pharmacist, allied health professional or other registered practitioner working in the NHS or independent sectors.

"We’ve already been overwhelmed with offers of help from a whole range of people, from volunteers, students, nurses and doctors. However as this hub will be up and running for a while, we’re looking for people who can commit to a fixed term contract, and be willing (and able) to work at least 12 hours a week for up to six months.

"As the Elland Road site will be open seven days a week we can offer staff flexible working options.

"We can offer these posts on a full time, part time and secondment basis. We’re painfully aware that the health and care sectors are already under immense pressure so please have a conversation with your employer first before applying.
