Leeds cricket club's cycle challenge for NHS

A dozen cricketers from a Leeds club raised more than £1,000 for the NHS by taking  part in a  cycling challenge.

The players from Hall Park Cricket Club at Horsforth split into groups of two or three and cycled to all 36 grounds in the the Airedale and Wharfedale Senior Cricket League on Saturday (May 2).

They cycled a total of around 150 miles and completed the challenge in six-hours.

They have so far raised more than £1,300 for the Leeds and York Partnership NHS Foundation Trust Charitable Funds via fundraising page www.justgivinghallparkcccharitybikerideRobert Hodson, club secretary at Hall Park Cricket Club, said the players kept to social distancing guidelines during the challenge, adding: "It was a fantastic performance by all the lads who contributed their time to do this. We would also like to thank everybody who has donated."
