More than 70 frontline NHS staff confirmed to have died

More than 70 frontline NHS staff are confirmed to have died during the coronavirus pandemic. Local NHS trusts across the country have paid tribute to individuals who died while working on the front lines. Health minister Helen Whately said 61 NHS workers were known to have died after becoming infected. The PA news agency has verified 77 deaths of NHS staff since March 25. These are people who were working in roles shortly before their deaths where they were likely to come into contact with patients. More than a dozen other deaths are yet to be confirmed.
