The five-piece, led by singer Ricky Wilson have each recorded their respective parts from home.

The chorus of the song, released in 2005 ahead of their debut album Employment, features the new chorus 'Oh my god, I can't believe it, I've never spent this much time at home'.

Promoting the song on social media, the band said: "Because being really far away from home is something you shouldn’t be right now."

There are also jokey references to hand sanitister, Joe Wicks, and popular Netflix documentary Tiger King.

The band also said this Friday would have been their first gig of the summer, so instead they are replacing it with the 'Kaiser Chiefs Gig Replacement Service', which will be streaming online at 8.45pm on Friday, April 17.
