Four new coronavirus deaths confirmed in Leeds hospitals bringing total to 77

Four more people who tested positive for coronavirus have died in hospitals in Leeds, NHS England has confirmed.

Three patients died on Thursday, April 9 while on patient died on Friday, April 10.

Their families have been informed.

It brings the total confirmed coronavirus deaths at Leeds hospitals up to 77, while 612 coronavirus patients are confirmed to have died across hospitals in Yorkshire.

A further 823 people have died in hospital in England after testing positive for coronavirus, bringing the total deaths there to 8,937.

Patients were aged between 11 and 102 years old and 33 of the 823 patients (aged between 29 and 94 years old) had no known underlying health condition.

The new deaths across each hospital trust in Yorkshire are as follows:

Barnsley Hospital NHS Foundation Trust - 2

Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust - 7

Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust - 6

Doncaster and Bassetlaw Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust - 2

Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust - 1

Hull and East Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust - 2

Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust - 3

The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust - 4

Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust - 9

South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust - 1

York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust - 2

Sheffield Health & Social Care NHS Foundation Trust - 0
