Confirmed coronavirus cases in Yorkshire increase by 320 as total hits 4,522

A total of 4,522 coronavirus cases have now been confirmed in Yorkshire, Public Health England (PHE) has said.

The figure is a rise of 320 from the previous day's update.

The Department of Health said 334,974 tests have been carried out in the UK as of 9am on Saturday, including 18,091 tests on Friday.

Of the the 269,598 people tested, 78,991 have tested positive for the illness.

Sheffield has the highest number of cases in Yorkshire, with more than one thousand recorded.

Calderdale - 135

Doncaster - 192

East Riding - 187

Hull (Kingston upon Hull) - 97

Kirklees - 295

Leeds - 544

North East Lincolnshire - 64

North Lincolnshire - 91

Rotherham - 321

Sheffield - 1,137

Wakefield - 274

York - 119
