This is an increase of 85 cases from the previous day.

There has been an increase of 3,634 cases across the UK.

There are now 55,242 cases in total.

These figures are correct as of 9am on Tuesday, April 7.

There was a delay in accurately obtaining yesterday's daily figure due to a "data processing delays" in Leeds and Manchester, the the Department of Health said.
