The learning journey at Temple Moor not only prepares pupils for work and University, but covers a fun-filled life of art, design, dance, performance and sport.

Temple Moor Sixth Form is a vibrant and thriving community of individuals.

We are a Sixth Form that has established working partnerships across Leeds and North Yorkshire to establish the best educational experience for our young people.

We are a growing Sixth Form that puts the individual at the heart of all we do. Temple Moor Sixth Form is the ideal learning platform to access next steps such as University, Apprenticeship or Employment.

Parents of pupils starting secondary school in 2022: find out why Temple Moor could be your ‘school of choice’ at its Open Day on 2 October.

Every student, regardless of their ability, will be challenged and supported to reach their potential through high quality teaching, bespoke learning and tailored advice and guidance. Progression from our Sixth Form is led by experienced experts keen to enable all to reach their potential. At Temple Moor we ensure we use our independent careers advisor to track labour market information to ensure that students have the most update and relevant information on apprenticeships and employment opportunities.

Our Post 16 Curriculum has been designed to provide a wide range of choice of subjects and courses to suit different students’ needs and aspirations. Offering a broad and varied curriculum gives students the power of choice and allows students to explore a range of both A level and Applied Generals, as well as additional course offers such as the Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) and Core Maths.

At Temple Moor we are rightly proud of the academic success of our Sixth Form students. Students are supported through their transition to Level 3 study and given the study skills they require to support them in pursuing excellence. Throughout a student’s time at Temple Moor, they can expect to have access to a dedicated Form Tutor, a Phase Leader to discuss academic progress, and a Pastoral Leader to offer support and guidance.

There is more to Sixth Form than exams and we aim to develop our students to have well placed confidence in their future by enriching their time with us. There is a myriad of opportunities for our Sixth Formers to get involved in and hopefully you will think of some that we haven’t! The wellbeing of our students is vital if they are to fulfil their dreams. We appreciate the level of challenge that Post 16 education places on our students and offer structure, pastoral guidance and care to help them help themselves and become confident, independent and happy people.

"We are a very open, forward thinking and outward facing school and, as such, we benefit hugely as part of the Red Kite Learning Trust"

We would love you to come and experience what our Sixth Form has to offer on our Open Evening on Thursday, 21 October 17.00 - 19.00
