Books donation welcomed by Leeds school

New books donated to a Leeds school are helping foster pupils' love of reading.

Middleton Primary School received 55 books from healthcare company GSK, which is backing the Born to Read scheme run by Save the Children and literacy charity Beanstalk.

Alison Newbolt, a business director at GSK, said: “Many of my team have children of their own so really recognise the importance of educational support.”

Sarah Latham, acting deputy head and literary head at the school, said: “Receiving these book donations from GSK is a great help – the children will have lots of fun exploring their new literature.”
