Roxy Ballroom has been bowled over.

A gaming bar brand in Leeds has been left bowled over after winning three awards at the 2019 National Pub and Bar awards.

Boar Lane’s Roxy Ball Room was named Best Bar in West Yorkshire and also the Best Bar in the whole of Yorkshire.

The Leeds city centre venue was also named the Marston’s Telecoms Tech Savvy Pub and Bar of the Year. This was in recognition of its forward-thinking online booking system, polished website and use of on-site technology.

The bar is the flagship venue for the Roxy Leisure Group which was up against almost 100 other bars.

The news comes as Roxy Ball Room announce further plans for expansion, as well as a new training programme which aims to strengthen the brand as an employer of choice.

Roxy Leisure Brand Development Manager Joel Mitchell said: “No pun intended, but we were bowled over by our triple win.
“I’m very proud of the brand, what we’ve done and where we’re going, and to be recognised as not only the best bar in county, but the entire region is mind-blowing. We try our best to employ the very best people and this win is down to what our bar staff to management team have put in.”

Rolling into a Leeds summer of food and festivals

So, June has been a washout compared to last year, but it’s not stopped me from having my most epic summer to date. Roundhay Park was the perfect setting for some fine Michelin Star pubs from Yorkshire and beyond. If gourmet gastro-pub grub, local ale and premium gin wasn’t enough, the music was off the […]
