A new bar promises to bring the cool and kudos associated with the very best city centre watering holes to Yeadon.

NEST will welcome its first guests this December, who can expect a superior drinking experience – without sky-high prices and long journey home.

The drinks menu will mix creative seasonal cocktails with local and international ales and coffee, to ensure all tastes are well-serviced. Care has been taken to support other local independents, with everything from the food and drink through to glassware and décor sourced from local businesses.

NEST is the brainchild from Call Lane legend David Watson, who has 20 years bar experience under his belt.

He said: “When I became a dad and moved to the suburbs, I would meet friends for drinks but compromise on the quality of those special few hours in a nearby venue that was just okay, or spend money and time getting to and from the city centre. This is how the NEST concept came about – serve great drinks, play good music, provide excellent service and offer a welcoming experience, a short distance of home.”

The bar is in the old NatWest on Silver Lane. I’m looking forward to a few cheeky drinks and checking out next week…
