Shulmans reels in record profits during '˜exceptional year'

LAW firm Shulmans today revealed that it has enjoyed an 'exceptional year' as it reported strong growth in turnover and profits.

Leeds-based Shulmans LLP reported record profits of more than £6.2m, an increase of 40 per cent for the 2017/18 financial year, with turnover reaching £16M, which is 24 per cent higher than last year.

The firm, which employs 216 people and 24 partners at its base in Wellington Place, Leeds has gained a number of national clients including Lidl, Greggs, Barratt Homes, Costcutter, Betfred and Town Centre Securities.

Shulmans’ international clients now include Ghana International Bank Plc and Chilean manufacturer, Drillco. At The Lawyer Awards 2018, Shulmans was picked out as one of the top two independent law firms in the North and Scotland with the judges highlighting the firm’s “determined leadership”.

The firm was established in 1981, became a partnership in 1985 and an LLP in 2010.
