Revenue up at builder Caddick

COnstruction firm Caddick reported a 20 per cent increase in turnover compared to 2016 following a successful year with a number of new contract wins.

The company, currently redveloping Headingley stadium, brought in £97.7m in the year ending August 31 2017, up from £81.3m in 2016.

The Yorkshire based business also reported pre-tax profits of £3.4m in its report to Companies House, a rise from £3.2m last year.

Forecasts for the current financial year estimate a turnover of £103m expected and £87m of work already secured.

Bosses attributed the performance to a number of high profile projects such as the refurbishment of Emerald Headingley Stadium and the regeneration of Stonebow house in York.

In 2017 Caddick also completed phase one of the £100m prime distribution and logistics scheme, Crosspoint33 and began work on automotive projects for Jaguar Land Rover, Hyundai and The Car People. The group employs nearly 500 people.

Caddick Construction and Caddick Civil Engineering are the operational arms of Caddick Group PLC.

The firm has been operational for 38 years across a range of market sectors including commercial, education, industrial, leisure, refurbishment, residential, care, retail, mixed use and fit out.

Last year, its founder Paul Caddick was named as Property Personality of the Year 2017 at the Yorkshire Property Awards.
