Many people from across the city will be booking tables in their favourite hangouts or hoping to catch some luck with a walk-in to shelter from the rain.
But sadly, the Covid pandemic has seen the end of some much-loved independent and chain venues in Leeds.
Here are nine pubs, clubs and restaurants that won't be reopening today.
1. Arts Cafe
After 25 years of trading in Leeds city centre on Call lane, this popular cafe - which was a much loved spot for lunch or a weekend brunch - closed its doors for good in February. JAMROCK UK has taken over the premises.
2. Ask Italian
A total of 75 Ask Italian restaurants closed permanently due to the pandemic in 2020. The Leeds restaurant is no longer listed on the website. Photo: Ask Italian.
3. Bad Apples
Bad Apples announced it was closing in July 2020 after eight years. It was a firm favourite with rock and metal fans in Leeds.
4. LIVIN'Italy Dough House
LIVIN'Italy announced that it was closing its second site in Cloth Hall Street in May 2021. The LIVIN'Italy Dough House had been hugely popular for its tapas style Italian street food and bottomless pizza deals.
5. Il Paradiso
This Italian restaurant on York Place served a selection of classic Italian dishes using only seasonal ingredients from Italy or sourced locally by well-known organic producers. Having opened in Leeds at the start of 2019, Il Paradiso has now permanently closed. Photo: Il Paradiso
