The Gym Headingley: Opening date set for new budget gym with classes and free parking
An opening date has been set for a new budget gym in Headingley.
The Gym group, which has a site in The Headrow, will open the new Otley Road site on July 21 at noon.
Lord Mayor of Leeds, Coun Asghar Khan will attend the official opening.
Located above the Arndale Centre, the venue will boast more than 21,000 square feet of gym space with cardiovascular, free weights and functional training equipment.
There will be a range of gym classes on offer, as well as free parking for members.
The Gym's budget prices aim to break down economic barriers to fitness, with an introductory membership offer of £9.99 per month and no joining fee for the first three months.
An Open to View period will run from July 10 to July 20, where people can take a tour of the facilities and speak to staff.
This will run between 8am and 8pm on weekdays and 10am to 4pm on weekends.
The gym has brought new jobs to Headingley, with roles in personal training, management and cleaning.
General manager Dylan Noble said: "I’ve lived in Leeds most of my adult life and in Headingley for three years.
"I can’t wait to bring this amazing gym to the area. We really are pulling all the stops with this one as it will be our flagship gym in Leeds.”
