After being closed for four months, Viaduct Showbar on Lower Briggate finally reopens this Saturday (August 1).

The bar says it will be the Viaduct people know and love, just done a little differently after deciding not to reopen on July 4 like many other bars and clubs.

It will have the same opening hours, the same drink offers and the same nightly events as it did before lockdown and that it will continue including the famous showgirls every Friday and Saturday evening.

Dave Robinson, Group Sales & Marketing Manager said: "Viaduct has always done things a little differently. While we could have reopened on the July 4 alongside the rest of the Leeds bar scene, with all the restrictions around live entertainment we felt the spirit of the showbar would be lost. When we did reopen we wanted to make sure guests had the full Viaduct experience, which we can now offer with the new guidance.

"We want guests to have the safest experience possible, so we have worked hard to ensure that the venue is fully COVID secure. We have installed hand sanitising stations on entry and around the venue and the venue will be regularly cleaned and sanitised.

"We have created one way systems around the venue, and we will be offering table service only for all guests and ask that they remain seated at their tables. The venue will be running at a reduced capacity to make sure guests can adhere to social distancing."
