Here are the latest rules for shopping at the major supermarkets.

When is Aldi open, what are its opening hours and what are Aldi's shopping rules?

Aldi stores are now open up to 10pm every day, except for on Sundays when the times are 10am to 4pm.

There is an elderly and vulnerable shopping hour every 30 minutes from 9.30am every Monday to Saturday.

All stores will open half an hour early on Sundays for NHS, police and fire service workers or anyone with a Blue Light card.

If you're eligible, you will need to bring a form of ID.

The number of people in store is still being restricted and there are markers on the floor. Aldi is encouraging people to shop alone where possible.

When is Asda open, what are its store opening hours and what are Asda's shopping rules?

Asda opening times are now 8am to 10pm Monday to Saturday for the majority of stores. Sunday times will stay the same.

You can currently buy a maximum of three items for certain handwash and baby formula products and up to three of each item on all online orders.

There are no special opening times for the elderly or vulnerable but there is a volunteer shopping card so people can buy goods for those who can't leave the house.

NHS and care workers can go to larger stores between 8am and 9am Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and 9am-10am for browsing on Sundays.

The number of shoppers in the store at a time is still being managed and there is a no-touch rule, with the store stating 'only pick up what you intend to buy'.

When is Morrisons open, what are its store opening hours and shopping rules?

Morrisons is now open 7am to 10pm Monday to Saturday, while Sunday opening hours are 9.30am to 4pm.

Morrisons has lifted in-store restrictions on number of items per customer.

Morrisons is also opening exclusively for NHS workers from 6-7am Monday to Saturday and 9.30am on Sunday.

When is Sainsbury's open, what are its store opening hours and shopping rules?

Sainsbury's is now open from 8am to 8pm Monday to Saturday while Sunday opening hours will remain the same.

Customers are able to buy up to three of any grocery item and a maximum of two toilet rolls, soap and long-life milk.

Every Sainsbury's store has a dedicted 8am-9am slot for elderly, vulnerable and disabled customers and their carers.

Only one adult per household is being allowed into the store. Children are only welcome if they cannot be left at home.

There is also a queue system and markings on the shop floor.

When is Tesco open, what are its store opening hours and shopping rules?

Tesco has changed all its stores to 10pm closing but some Tesco branches can differ. There is a limit of 80 items per online order and restrictions on toilet roll, pasta and handwash products.

All stores will prioritise the elderly and most vulnerable between 9am and 10am every Monday, Wednesday and Friday except at Express stores.

NHS workers can shop exclusively at non-Express stores between 9am and 10am on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
