Expect dishes like jerk chicken, fried chicken and Jam Rock jerk lamb.

There's plenty on offer for vegans too such as jerk cauliflower, jam rock fried jackfruit and classic Caribbean sides like plantain and rice and peas.

The street food business is no stranger to Call Lane, having previously hosted pop-up events at IF Coffee.

Now it has a permanent home, the business is hiring for a new head chef to make the simple brunch and dinner menu.

Jam Rock will not be serving entrees as part of the "exciting new concept".

Applicants can find more information on the restaurant's Facebook page.

The new restaurant will be opening in October 2020.

It will open from Wednesday to Sunday from 12pm each day.

When did the Arts Cafe close?

Arts Café has closed its doors after 25 years of trading in Leeds city centre.

The restaurant and café bar on Call Lane was a stalwart favourite of the city's independent food and drink scene and a popular spot for lunch and weekend brunch.

Announcing the closure in December, Arts thanked diners for their support before the café closed its doors permanently on February 1.

In a statement released online, Arts said: "After 25 incredible years, it's time to say a heartfelt goodbye to ours and Call Lane's long standing Arts Café - and turn the page to a new chapter.

"We'd like to say a massive thank you to everyone who has entered our doors and dined with us throughout the years - and to all the staff and chefs for their hard work throughout.

"This spring, the venue will be turned into a brand new, exciting concept, bringing more life to one of the city's most popular streets."
