The post read: "I just wanted to open up and do this small thing from Mumtaz Leeds one more time.

"It’s been a tough three months for all, it may not even get any better for some time yet too, but whilst we can I’m hoping this little bit of good will motivate others to do good (just as you have made us do good). Hoping it is a nice treat for all."

Food will be served in a takeaway box and handed out on a first come, first served basis.

There will be no limit on the number of curries taken per person, but the restaurant has asked people to be considerate of others.

Mumtaz will reopen for dine-in customers the following day, on Saturday, July 4, when lockdown measures are lifted.
