First pictures from Chow Down festival in Leeds

Chow Down festival is hosting a 10-week event in the disused railway arches on Globe Road. The unusual land on South Bank has been transformed into a socially distanced, open air drink and dining venue. There will be a whole host of independent food vendors and local craft breweries over the 10 weeks and the first weekend, which starts today, features Middle Feast, Kenyan-inspired grill Nyama Choma, Igloo Pizza Company and the Little Red Food Truck. Take a look around the festival with these 11 pictures from YEP photographer James Hardisty:

Chow Down is a collaboration between New Citizens, Leeds Indie Food and Chapter 81 which promotes the best independent food and drink brands in the north
A Chown Down festival weekend is usually held in Halifax's The Piece Hall - but has moved to Leeds for a 10-week event
