College will support a new generation of engineers
Work has started on a college that will nurture a new generation of Yorkshire engineers.
UTC Leeds is due to open in September 2016 in the heart of a hub off Hunslet Road in the city centre, offering students an education focused on engineering and advanced manufacturing.
Main contractor BAM Construction will oversee development of the college. UTC Leeds is sponsored by The University of Leeds, major manufacturers including Agfa Graphics, Siemens and Unilever and business organisations such as the EEF and Leeds Chamber of Commerce. It is the first UTC in the Leeds City Region.
