The t2 is now live on Kickstarter priced at £45 - with the target of fundraising met in just 24 hours.

A spokesperson from Zanco said: "Developing the tiny t2 was a complex process, as scaling down 3G components to be used in ‘The World’s Smallest Phone’ seemed near impossible, due to 3G parts being fairly large and used exclusively to Smartphones.

"Therefore, at Zanco we can declare with confidence that the tiny t2 is the smallest 3G phone in the world.

"Furthermore, the Zanco tiny t2 being a 3G handset, now enables it to be used with the 3 network.

"This means that if a 3 SIM is used in the tiny t2, calls can be made texts can be sent to other phones that are using a 3 SIM, free of charge."
