The Kaisers kicked off proceedings on the event’s Other Stage with a surprise set at 11am today.

They are now due to follow up that unscheduled appearance by closing the festival’s John Peel Stage tonight.

The Kaisers played songs such as I Predict A Riot, Ruby, The Angry Mob and Coming Home at their first show of the day.

Another track, Meanwhile Up in Heaven, was dedicated to “anyone who’s lost anybody this year”.

Frontman Ricky Wilson also found time to take an on-stage swipe at the bad weather.

Elsewhere, supermodel Jerry Hall brought a touch of glamour to the festival as she performed with her new band Paris-Texas And The Uke.

Acts playing at Glastonbury tomorrow include Metallica, Jake Bugg, Pixies, Manic Street Preachers and Bryan Ferry.
