Stowe says: “This sale consists of the best clothes I have collected, donated in aid of St Gemma’s Hospice who took care of my late father, Arnold Morris, who was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer at the same time that my mother, Estelle Morris, was also terminally ill from a diabetic illness. They passed away within 12 days of each other in January 2013. The proceeds of this sale will all go to St Gemma’s, for the part they played in three bleak, dark months following my father’s diagnosis when none of us knew how best to help him.”

"My hobbies, apart from looking after my husband, son and two dogs, have been distance running and purchasing beautiful designer clothes – both were great for stress release”.

The collection is coming up for auction in the Vintage Costume and Textiles Sale at Tennants Auctioneers in Leyburn, North Yorkshire, this Saturday, February 10.

The uber-chic collection consists of more than 50 lots including Chanel and Louis Vuitton handbags, Christian Louboutin shoes, and tailored dresses, suits and coats by Burberry, Givenchy, Chanel, Roland Mouret, Victoria Beckham and Gucci. Estimates range from £80-120 (plus buyer’s premium) for a pair of Christian Louboutin ‘Newton D’Orsay’ black leather pumps, to £400-600 (plus buyer’s premium) for a Chanel two-piece black and grey boucle suit. The collection will be available to view in Tennants’ salerooms in Leyburn on February 9 and on the morning of the sale.
