The duo – which comprises Michelle Plum (Chris Norman Band, ex-Chumbawamba) and Nick Hall (Hall Brothers, ex-Magna Carta) – have had a rollercoaster 12 months, during which time they’ve sung with the legendary Al Stewart as his guests at the London Palladium and written songs for (and appeared in) forthcoming film, The Runaways.

On the night, Plumhall will be playing the Americana-tinged material from their acclaimed debut album ‘Thundercloud’ (described by The Guardian and The Observer as ‘a gem’) and showcasing new songs from their eagerly-anticipated second album ‘The Ghost of Noise’. The new album (due in Spring 2018) will showcase the exquisite harmonies, outstanding musicianship and award-winning song-writing - for which the duo have become much-acclaimed - but also sees the band and their producer David Crickmore experimenting with fresh textures and a new sound.

Plumhall’s power as a live act has been noted by such musical luminaries as Miles Hunt (The Wonder Stuff), Ian McNabb (The Icicle Works), Phil Beer (of Show Of Hands) and many more.

This concert also features some excellent special guests – Bella Gaffney and Polly Bolton and Boss Caine. Bella Gaffney is an award-winning singer-songwriter and excellent guitarist who has recently signed to Folkstock Records. This new pairing of Bella and mandolin ace Polly is already creating waves on the Northern folk scene. Boss Caine is the brainchild of dark Americana singer-songwriter Daniel Lucas, whose gravel-toned vocals and excellent songs have brought him plaudits from ‘Whispering’ Bob Harris, among many other luminaries.

Tickets are available from Headingley Heart Arts Centre’s website and you can reserve tickets and get more information from the box office on 0113 275 4548.
