She secured £1,000 on her cashbuilder round before opting to take on three chasers for £10,000.

Shaun, Jenny and Paul had 49 seconds on their clock to Jennie's 60.

Jennie put in a solid performance and beat the Chasers with 10 seconds still on the clock.

It comes after another woman from Leeds, trainee accountant Rachel Goodall, won £25,000 on the show last Wednesday.

Game show fan Jennie said going on the show was an "amazing experience" as she explains her strategy.

Speaking before the show aired, Jennie said: "I thought it was best to maximise the time advantage, no matter what – I didn’t want to look back and regret being too greedy and too risky.

"As it happened, I was much more nervous on stage than I’d imagined I would be, my legs were like jelly, and I don’t think I could have got through the questions without tripping over my tongue, if I’d gone any higher with the risk.

"The minute where I was answering questions passed in a blur. I can’t remember most of the questions. I couldn’t look at the clock – I was nervous that I’d mess up through mishearing, so I was staring fixedly at Bradley Walsh’s face (poor chap) to make sure I didn’t miss anything.

"This meant that I didn’t realise at first that the clock had run out for the chasers. I had to ask if I’d won!"

Jennie was up against her favourite chaser, Paul Sinha, but avoided facing Mark Labbett who she was "most scared" of.

"He’s so fast and so expert on all the topics I’m weakest on", Jennie added.

"I really like and admire all of them though – they were friendly and smiley to me on the day and it was so great to see them in person.

"I can’t wait to see what my family and friends think when they see it. I think they’ll find it surreal to see someone they know on TV, and I can already imagine who’s going to say I should have gone higher and who’s going to say lower!

"My dad and my brother in particular love quizzes, it’s a family tradition, and I’m really looking forward to them seeing me win."
