Fourteen years after his first journey to the United States, Borat takes his daughter, Sandra Jessica Parker Sagdiyev (Maria Bakalova), to the country, with a hope that he can “gift her to someone close to the throne.”

The duo go on to reveal more about American culture, the Covid-19 pandemic, and the US election.

Because of the success of the first film, Borat has become a recognisable face in America, so the movie follows the character attempting to disguise himself with his daughter whilst they adventure around the country.

The full movie title is Borat Subsequent Moviefilm: Delivery of Prodigious Bribe to American Regime for Make Benefit Once Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan.

The movie has already made headlines within the American media after it was revealed that Rudy Giuliani was one of the victims of Baron Cohen’s pranks.

Giuliani, who was the former mayor of New York and personal attorney to Donald Trump, is seen reaching into his trousers whilst in the bed with the actor playing Borat’s daughter.

Giuliani has dismissed the clip as a “complete fabrication”.

The original Borat was a box office success in 2006, grossing over $260 million worldwide.

Sacha Baron Choen went on to win the Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Motion Picture Comedy or Musical, and the film also landed an Oscar nomination for Best Adapted Screenplay.
