And to coincide with the launch of the new website from The Yorkshire Post, Leeds trio Deuce & Charger have handed us exclusive access to a brand new remix of their latest track, ‘We Can Beat The Night’ by Leeds experimental funk/hip-hop act Fold.

The original track was released only earlier this month and follows on from a successful summer for Pete Bott, Becky Keighley and Yoni Collier, which saw them receive regular airplay on Radio 1, playlisted on Radio I Xtra as well as a headlining debut live set at 1Xtra Live at the Belgrave Music Hall in Leeds.

They have previously collaborated with the most exciting emerging and established names in drum & bass, breaks and grime, including TYR (whose remix of debut track ‘Always Broke’ received over 120,000 plays in less than a month), Nightmares On Wax’s Phoenix Pearle and Wiley collaborator, Saskilla.

The collaborations continue for the trio on ‘We Can Beat The Night’ as they bring in Fold and, elsewhere, RAM Records prodigy Chords to remix the single, the Fold version being the one you can listen to here by clicking on the video link at the top of this page.

As you can hear on this exclusive remix, Fold flip the original ‘We Can Beat The Night’ with an insistent old school funk rhythm workout.

Previous tracks such as ‘Always Broke’, ‘Stop The Sky From Falling’ and ‘Wild & Free’released in the past 18 months are among those to have helped build the band’s growing reputation as one of the hottest emerging acts around.
